Learner: Ayod
Date: 23.02.17
Learning Area: LH1
Learning Observed:
This week, is our second session of tennis for the learners in habitat 1. Each session is 30 minutes with coach Marcel from AceSports on a Thursday. Tennis is a competitive sport in New Zealand that has two players. A player has to hit the tennis ball over the net back and forth to their competitor. The object of the sport is to win the set or until you reach a tie breaker. We have been learning skills like: hitting the tennis ball up and down with our hand then with our racquets and trying to balance the ball on our racquet.
Key Competencies/ Vision Principles:
Ayod enjoys and participates in all sports. He is willing to give everything a go even when he is unsure. He shows capable skills in holding the tennis racquet and is beginning to demonstrate skills in throwing and bouncing the tennis ball. Ayod listens carefully to the instructions from Marcel and collaborates with others when asked too.
